It’s jam packed with soaring leads, racing drums and did we mention a damn catchy chorus?! This song may seem as though it has emerged from a fairytale land but is more than meets the eye. BLOODBOUND also announced "The Tales of Nosferatu - Two Decades of Blood (2004 - 2024)" Anniversary Live Album & Blu-Ray
2024 marks twenty years of BLOODBOUND. Twenty years in which the Swedish power metal export has left a lasting impression on fans and the worldwide metal scene. The band can call ten studio albums their own, as well as numerous frenetically-acclaimed festival appearances and tours. Last year alone, the band played a major gig at Masters of Rock Festival, which is featured on their upcoming anniversary live album and Blu-Ray, entitled "The Tales of Nosferatu - Two Decades of Blood (2004 - 2024)"! Due out on April 19, 2024 via powerhouse label AFM Records, the pre-sale is now available at https://bloodbound.bfan.link/the-tales-of-nosferatu
With songs like "Nosferatu", "The Warlock's Trail", "Battle in the Sky", or new songs of the band's discography like "Drink with the Gods", BLOODBOUND – who were formed in 2004 by keyboard player Fredrik Bergh and guitarist Tomas Olsson – have quickly established their sound in the world of heavy music. Not only because of their immense talent, but also because of their own affiliation to the metal scene, a dedication that comes with it and the skills to write incredibly good power metal songs.
"What a ride it has been! 10 studio albums, shows in over 25 countries and chart entries from all over the world. When I look back at the last 20 years, I can only say how proud I am of what we have created!” Fredrik Bergh comments. "We're super excited to celebrate 20 years of Bloodbound with this release - together with YOU - our fans! Without you we're nothing!"
In support, BLOODBOUND are now premiering a single taken off "The Tales of Nosferatu - Two Decades of Blood". The anniversary live version of the band's classic "The Warlock's Trail", out now on all digital services at https://bloodbound.bfan.link/the-warlock-s-trail, is now streaming here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbiqE3qhKRw.
Their first studio album, "Nosferatu", was released in 2005, followed by nine more offerings such as "Creatures of the Dark Realm", "Rise of the Dragon Empire" or "Tales from the North". Since two decades, the BLOODBOUND bandwagon is unstoppable! To celebrate their special birthday in 2024, and while BLOODBOUND have also made a name for themselves as a great, highly entertaining live act, "The Tales of Nosferatu - Two Decades of Blood" will be the perfect prove to that. This live album and Blu-Ray perfectly reflect the highlights of their career and high-voltage stage energy. In addition to the entire Masters of Rock show, the Blu-Ray also includes excerpts from a past Japan performance and all of BLOODBOUND's music videos released to date.
This week’s iconic vinyl is Rage For Order. This classic album marked a change in musical and production direction for the band. With more synths, more atmospheric production and a more commercial direction this album sent Queensryche to stardom and set the template for the awesome Mindcrime album. Well worth getting!
1. Let's start at the beginning then. When did the band form?
I started this project at the end of 2022, after not really having been creating any music for a while. I wanted to get back into it, so I bought a new guitar, set up a Bandcamp page and just started playing and writing again.
2. Who's in the band?
Just me – Jon. I play mainly guitar, but also drum programming, keyboards and whatever else I think the music needs.
3. Were any of you in bands before?
Just one, ages ago. It never really went anywhere – we played one gig. After that I was just writing some solo stuff, which didn’t really go anywhere either until I started this project.
4. How would YOU describe your sound?
I’d say it’s atmospheric, melodic instrumental music in the post-rock/metal realm.
5. What are your musical influences?
So, so many, but the main ones are Mono, Explosions in the Sky, The Ocean, Cult of Luna, Isis, The Cure and Pink Floyd.
6. What have been up to lately? any new stuff to delight our ears?
Yes indeed! I’ve just released my debut EP called Valkyrie – out now on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms.
7. How about live dates? What have you been doing and what ya got planned for 2024?
Unfortunately not. I don’t have any plans to play live at all.
8. Name something about yourselves that fans won't know
I can’t think of anything juicy, but my day job is as a graphic designer.
9. What's the most embarrassing moment you've had?
In my previous band we were playing our one and only gig, and we had about an 8 hour train journey to get there. Our plan was to have some drums as a backing track for the final part of our one (very long) song, and to put the final touches on that while on the train. So we exported everything before we left and when we loaded up the drum track we found we only had the midi track and the software we were using for some reason only had one weird synth preset. So we ended up with these stabbing synth sounds instead of drums, but we didn’t tell anyone so I think people assumed it was intentional!
10. Do you have any superstitions? Any things you do before a show?
Not really. I’d probably take up meditation to calm myself down if I were to play live again.
11. Are there any musicians or bands you'd love to work with?
There are loads that would be interesting to work with, but the most obvious one for me would be Robert Smith.
12. Any final thoughts?
Nothing other than to check out my new EP, and please follow me on social media. An album is coming later in the year!
VOYAGER-X travel back to the future with their brilliant Melodic Rock album “Magic”
VOYAGER-X ignite a magical mixture of Progressive Metal, Melodic and Hard Rock on their album “Magic”, due out on 03/22/2024, via Dr. Music Records. Listening to the nine songs, the listener literally floats away to times when musical virtuosity and vocal art still harmonized perfectly, and bands such as Van Halen, Survivor, Marillion or Saga dominated the charts. VOYAGER-X skillfully built the bridge from Classic Bombast and Artrock to more modern sounds with their sophisticated Rock music. Actually, the album “Magic” was supposed to have been released in 1997, but shortly after the recording of the songs in Deckelmann Studio in Zirndorf, Germany, the musicians decided to put their band, then still called VOYAGER, on ice due to their life circumstances at that time, taking them all around the globe. The group then awoke from this deep slumber just after the original line-up consisting of singer Mario Gansen, guitarist Stephan BaumgΓ€rtner, bassist JΓΆrg Schreiber, keyboardist Christian Mordek and drummer Peter Webert met during an event in 2019, and the idea came up to continue what ended so abruptly 22 years earlier after an exciting decade of intensely lived Rock ’n’ Roll Lifestyle. Due to other bands using the name in the meantime, the band was renamed to VOYAGER-X. Political and still current events are processed in the lyrics, penned by singer Mario Gansen (ex-Grim Reaper, ex-Dynasty). The musicians see themselves as entertainers with a particular claim, taking their audience on a journey through their own Rock history with their varied program. Therefore, friends of great Melodic Rock in the style of QueensrΓΏche, Fates Warning or Savatage can now look forward to the release of the extraordinary album “Magic”, which also has been given a modern sound thanks to Romin Katzer’s remastering.
Between 1987 and 1997, VOYAGER belonged at the top of the emerging Rock scene around Nuremberg and Southern Germany. With an original stage performance and strong songs, their refreshing sound inspired fans of harder Rock music at countless concerts and festivals. Singer Mario Gansen recorded the album “We Were All Fools …” with the German Krautrock formation Grim Reaper in 1979 and supported Judas Priest and also MotΓΆrhead during their 1980 Bomber tour. During a Dynasty gig, his second bigger band, he met the VOYAGER-X musicians Stephan and JΓΆrg for the first time, with whom he made music together successfully for the next ten years and who are still on board now. “Janus Face”, the opener of the album “Magic”, clearly sets the course for the coming three-quarters of an hour. The song describes how dreams become nightmares and cruel images manifest themselves even during the day, turning life upside down and approaching the loss of control full of despair. VOYAGER-X packed this challenging theme into an epic soundscape, and the American videographer Wayne Joyner (i.a. Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, Alter Bridge) produced a spectacular lyric video for this, which perfectly stages the song’s mood. The next song is the second single “Hypnotize You”, often played as a concert opener. Embedded in the daily stream of media overkill, bread and games for the people is a proven way to distract from real problems like wars, environmental destruction, and so on. The third single, “Walk On The Dead Line”, is inspired by a significant number of innocent people executed by the death penalty and deals with the idea of being accused and convicted of a murder you didn’t commit. Spending years on death row in inhumane conditions, hoping for a miracle, and in the end, it turns out that one was actually innocent.
VOYAGER-X will convince with their impressive playing skills and the strong songs on “Magic” in the current Melodic Rock scene, and this much is sure, it will not take long until the German band presents a successor. But until then, we take with the album “Magic” a beautiful timeout from the troubles of everyday life and reflect on the timeless dreamlike magic of great Rock music.

ROX Alive Interview with the band's vocalist Chad Jensen
Let's start at the beginning then. When did the band form?
Bridge The Gap formed in 2022.
Who's in the band?
Myself on vocals and guitar. Jeff Andrews on lead guitar. Shon Foster on bass. And Ryan Thompson on drums.
Were any of you in bands before?
All four of us played in a band together for 10 years back in the ‘90s/’00s. That band broke up in 2006. We got back together in 2022, forming a new band with a new name and a fresh vision.
How would YOU describe your sound?
90s-influenced melodic punk. aka skate-punk.
What are your musical influences?
I’d have to say we all share strong influences from Bad Religion, Descendents, Pennywise, and NOFX.
What have been up to lately? any new stuff to delight our ears?
Bridge The Gap has been working on songs for a new record in 2024.
How about live dates? What have you been doing and what ya got planned for 2024?
With a new record to come in 2024, we plan on hitting the road and are playing Power Chord Guitar Festival in Provo, UT, in July. More live/touring announcements to come. Follow on social.
Name something about yourselves that fans won't know
Our bass player was voted Chef of the Year in Utah in 2023.
What's the most embarrassing moment you've had?
I once passed out on stage in front of 500 people due to stage fright. One of my first shows back when I was a teenager, and easily the most people I’d performed in front of at that point in my life.
Do you have any superstitions? Any things you do before a show?
I’m not superstitious. But I am a little ‘stitious.’ Pre-show rituals? After sacrificing a horny toad, we join hands and chant the lyrics to Helter Skelter with our pants down whilst holding hands. It works for us.
Are there any musicians or bands you'd love to work with?
Too many to count. But I’d start with Brett Gurewitz and Fat Mike.
Any final thoughts?
Thanks for giving us your time. Keep following Bridge The Gap on Instagram and Facebook for announcements on our upcoming album and live dates.
COLLATERAL NEW ALBUM - "SHOULD’VE KNOWN BETTER" RELEASED FRIDAY MAY 24, 2024 PRE-ORDER ALBUM FROM WWW.COLLATERALOFFICIAL.COM CARGORECORDSDIRECT.CO.UK
NEW SINGLE - "GLASS SKY"
RELEASED FRIDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2024
British four-piece rock band Collateral are set to release their highly anticipated sophomore album Should’ve Known Better on May 24, 2024. Released by Big Shot Records, the album will be distributed worldwide by Cargo Records Direct and available to pre-order Friday February 9 from www.collateralofficial.com and Cargo Records Direct.
The album will be released on CD, red vinyl, picture disc, limited edition cassette, and digital.
Friday February 9th will see the release of the lead single “Glass Sky.” The single is available on all streaming platforms HERE. The official “Glass Sky” music video is available to watch on YouTube HERE.
The new single “Glass Sky” and the forthcoming album Should’ve Known Better is produced by Dan Weller (Those Damn Crows, Enter Shikari, Monster Truck, Kris Barras, Holding Absence, Bury Tomorrow).
"I love massive riffs, massive hooks and feel-good guitar music,” says Weller. “When Collateral sent me their demos, I jumped at chance to produce their new record. I’m proud of what we managed to create. It’s Collateral mk2 - ambitious, daring and refined. I can’t wait for people to hear it."
Since the band released their eponymous debut album (Top 5 UK Rock Album Chart) at the start of 2020 Collateral have spent no time standing still. Covid came only weeks after the debut album was released and forced the band to cancel their highly successful tour with Phil X (Bon Jovi) halfway through. This made the band hungry to keep the momentum. With innovative ways to produce top quality live streams, the band became special guests supporting the likes of Skid Row, H.E.A.T and Reckless Love.
The exciting and flamboyant Kent-based rock and roll band are comprised of Angelo Tristan (lead vocals, guitar), Louis Malagodi (guitar), Jack Bentley-Smith (bass) and Ben Atkinson (drums).
On October 21, 2022, Collateral independently released a re-mixed and re-mastered version of their debut album re-titled as “Re-Wired” which featured Jeff Scott Soto, Phil X, Kee Marcello, Rudy Sarzo, Danny Vaughn, and Joel Hoekstra. The re-release saw the band in the Official UK Rock Charts at #12.
After the gruelling back-to-back tours with Skid Row, H.E.A.T and Reckless Love, the band ignited a spark and strengthened their already loyal fanbase leading them to win the opening slot at 2023s Stonedead Festival, leading the band to perform their biggest show.
Collateral’s hotly tipped sophomore album looks like it will take them to the next level. A lot of people don’t know what to expect from the new album, as the band have been tight-lipped about the new songs. Collateral have created a state-of-the-art rock album that will immerse listeners in their rock music universe, enabling fans to feel the blood, sweat and glory that went into the recording of every song.
“We felt that our debut album was lacking the production,” reflects Collateral’s frontman, Angelo Tristan. “For the sophomore album, I wanted to make sure that this time we left no room for error and so got one of the hottest producers in the music industry, Dan Weller, to help lift these songs into a new dimension. With Dan’s pioneering studio expertise, this album has massive production quality that enables you to get lost in each character-filled track. Dan really brought out the emotions we were trying to portray and has achieved it with his own unique style.”
“We wanted this album to express where we were in our own lives since the release of our first. So much has happened since then, I mean the world shut down for what felt like a lifetime! And it was obvious that people were going to need some sort of optimism. I hope ‘Glass Sky’ is one of those songs that gives people the belief to find themselves again.”
“Whereas, the feel-good ‘Just One Of Those Days’ is trying to find the good side of a bad day. Me being me, couldn’t help but to write a big power ballad, ‘The Long Road’, that I wrote from a very hard and deep place, in hope that it could maybe bring some peace and comfort to people who need it. I think there’s all aspects of life running though this album and what it means to us will remain in our hearts forever.”
“Should’ve Known Better” is an album that goes beyond specific music genres,” says Angelo. “It’s almost like a soundtrack to a beating heart. It’s an album that will remain timeless in years to come.”

ALBUM TRACK BY TRACK
Collateral’s frontman, Angelo Tristan, breaks down the songs on the new album track by track.
GLASS SKY
This is the flag ship of the album. Louis came into the rehearsal studio one day with the opening riff and I literally stopped what I was doing. I turned around to him and said, “That’s it… That’s the hit”. The lyrics were like water off a duck’s back. It felt easy to write something empowering. It was crying out for a Shanty style gang vocal that I could imagine a rallying arena scream along to. I felt this song had to bring people together. We’re all searching for that breakthrough, for that love, for that thing that will make us feel complete. This is that song.
ORIGINAL CRIMINAL
This song is a nod to the Bonnie and Clyde style lifestyle. A mysterious character that has a dangerously attractive persona doing what he likes when he likes. The best part of this song is that you never know if he’s a good or bad guy. I guess he’s what all men would want to be. An “Original Criminal.”
JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS
Showing my country influence, I wanted to create a song with a happy and upbeat vibe that would make people forget about a bad day. We all have them, we all have ‘One of those days’ where nothing quite goes to plan and that was the perfect inspiration for this song. We decided to have a key change chorus to really uplift the optimism, Bryan Adams style, and I think the song as a whole really captures the important things in life and at the same time lets you let go of the stupid everyday stresses, we all go through.”
TEENAGE DREAMS
I find myself writing a lot about nostalgia, I find magic in it, “Teenage Dreams” is that nostalgia. Going back to a simpler time. A time where the only worries in life were making sure you didn’t get caught sneaking out with your friends until the early hours of the morning. This song puts you back in your teenage self, a self where you miss school, a self where you slept in past midday, a self when you were invincible. The best time of our lives.
ELYSIUM
“Elysium” is what we all crave for at the end of a hard week at work. That need to shake off the rigidness of the office and to be intertwined in the hot and sweaty atmosphere of the nightclub. It’s a song that does what is says on the tin, there’s no hidden meanings or messages. Just a message of letting your hair down and having a good time.
ON THE LONG ROAD
There was so much loss during Covid. My partner lost her mum without warning and seeing the heart break was devastating. This was written for her. A song, I hope, people can seek solace in when they need a shoulder to cry on. This is my favourite track on the album, but also the hardest to perform live due to the emotions that run through me.
NO PLACE FOR LOVE
A story of two people who, despite being in a world which is designed to kick love into the gutter, give everything to make it work. When there’s no place for love, if they are in each other’s hearts, then nothing can break them. It’s a story of hope but also a story of struggle. Instead of going down the Hollywood happy ending, I wanted to add a more real-life aspect to it, the aspect that love can also hurt.
GAME CHANGER
“Game Changer” is all about wanting that person that you can’t have. In this case I wanted to write a song that oozed cheekiness to take it away from the common love song. It’s fast, hard and straight to the point. I wanted people to take this song and make it their own, I want the listener to believe that they are the ‘Game Changer’. Just like the running theme throughout the album it’s the optimism and the light at the end of the tunnel that makes this song so exciting.
FINAL STAND
Unlike the other songs, “Final Stand” delivers a darker message of battling your inner demons. Those days where you look at yourself in the mirror and the person looking back at you is telling you to give up. Musically it shows our heavier side and lyrically shows a darker side to us. This song brings the balance on the album.

While hard rock power metal titans FIREWIND are not only currently gearing up for the release of their brand new, forthcoming studio album Stand United, but also an extensive tour throughout Europe, the US & Canada, the UK and Japan, today, the band is presenting a lyric video for their latest single, the powerful hard rock anthem "Chains"!
Stand United will be available as CD, LP Vinyl, digital formats and highly collectable bundles including an autographed card, a FIREWIND cat patch plus a ticket for the band's upcoming European tour with MASTERPLAN! About their new single, "Chains", iconic guitarist and FIREWIND mastermind Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne, Arch Enemy, Dream Evil), says: "This is the last single we put out as we’re getting closer to the “Stand United” album release. It’s leaning more towards the melodic hard rock side of Firewind. We hope you enjoy this track and get excited about the upcoming release! See you on the road soon!"
"Chains" is now available on all digital services via

Since more than twenty years, FIREWIND enthrall heavy music fans with their exciting blend of hard rock and power metal. Razor-sharp riffs by Gus G, big hooks and solos meet the incredible vocal skills of charismatic singer Herbie Langhans (Avantasia, Radiant, Seventh Avenue, amongst others).
Stand United features nine brand new songs produced with Dennis Ward (Magnum, Unisonic), as well as a cover of the 80s pop rock classic ‘Talking in Your Sleep’, originally recorded by The Romantics but giving it a metal twist in the style of FIREWIND. Their forthcoming studio offering also bears testament to the band's sheer enthusiasm and lyrical topics that could not be more relevant. “I wouldn’t exactly call ‘Stand United’ a classic concept album, but the album title indicates what we’re about thematically,” Gus G, who has also contributed with more lyric ideas on this one than any album before, said earlier. “This world seems to be getting more and more out of balance, what with environmental disasters, the pandemic, the wars currently raging all over the globe. In such times, it’s more important than ever for mankind to stand close together instead of fighting each other. That’s what ‘Stand United’ is about!”
Stand United track listing:
01. Salvation Day
02. Stand United
03. Destiny is Calling
04. The Power Lies Within
05. Come Undone
06. Fallen Angel
07. Chains
08. Land of Chaos
09. Talking in Your Sleep
10. Days of Grace
In support of Stand United and among a European tour with MASTERPLAN kicking off in February, FIREWIND will not only return to the US and Canada this Spring, but have also announced new live dates for the UK and Japan! MASTERS OF FIRE EUROPEAN TOUR 2024 || FIREWIND & MASTERPLAN LIVE:
Knebworth the album features the highlights from the 1990 Silver Clef Award Winners Show at the iconic Knebworth venue. With a fantastic collection of live performances by Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Genesis, Status Quo and more! It also features Cliff Richard but hey you can’t have everything!
Originally released on Polydor in 1990 on vinyl, cassette and VHS you can now also get this on CD and DVD.
Let's start at the beginning then. When did the band form?
Martin: We have been playing music since the 90s, but Movment began about 2008.
Kevin: We released music with Raw Novembre, before Movment, our side project, became the main band in about 2008.
Who's in the band?
Martin: Myself, Martin Kelly, and my brother Kevin Kelly, are Movment. We write the songs.
Kevin: Live we have had some extra members, notably, Mark Kelly, and Isabella Rowden Kelly.
Were any of you in bands before?
Martin: Yes, our first band was Raw Novembre, and we released 3 albums, an EP and some singles
Kevin: Yeah, we were active until about 2007 and then we focused on Movment, our side project.
How would YOU describe your sound?
Martin: Alternative Rock
Kevin: Post Punk (music inspired by punk), Indie (we have mostly released music ourselves on our own label, Distort The Scene) Dark Wave Goth (We have added synths and atmosphere to our songs in recent times, and there is a dark element to what we produce)
What are your musical influences?
Martin: Iron Maiden, New Model Army, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins
Kevin: Joy Division, Pixies, Jesus & Mary Chain, Sparklehorse
What have been up to lately? any new stuff to delight our ears?
Martin: We have just released a new album, REINVENTION, and we are promoting that at the moment.
Kevin: We are also recording a new batch of songs, which we will release in 2024, probably as a batch of singles or an EP. And we are writing new material for our next album.
How about live dates? What have you been doing and what ya got planned for 2024?
Martin: We have no gigs lined up at the moment, but perhaps later in 2024 we will play some dates.
Kevin: We are writing and recording which is our main focus at present.
Name something about yourselves that fans won't know
Martin: I’m a sci-fi fan, films and tv shows. I find space, and science inspiring.
Kevin: I’m very interested in technology, so I keep up to date with the latest inventions.
What's the most embarrassing moment you've had?
Martin: I fell into the drum kit once, I just got carried away. It can happen!
Kevin: Letting my guitar fall during soundcheck, no damage done, just embarrassing!
Do you have any superstitions? Any things you do before a show?
Martin: Not really. Once we are well rehearsed the show will take care of itself. The key part is connecting with the audience. And preparation is a key part of that.
Kevin: We like to keep things dark, so black is featured in lots of things we do, songs, artwork, stage shows. It is not necessarily evil, just intense and atmospheric. Black goes well with rock music.
Are there any musicians or bands you'd love to work with?
Martin: Yeah, Trent Reznor, or Rammstein, or Queens of the Stone Age
Kevin: Depeche Mode, or The Pixies, or maybe LCD Soundsystem.
Any final thoughts?
Martin: I think if anyone listens to new bands these days, they must make a huge effort to do so, as there is so much good music out there, and lots of old stuff to listen to as well. So, thank you for listening to our songs if you do.
Kevin: I know everybody likes their favourite bands and songs, but it is important to listen to new music too. You might not like it all, but it encourages bands to be creative, and who knows you might find a new band that inspires you and becomes part of your musical experience in life. Support new music!
