Incoming! Woe Unto Me

WOE UNTO ME Anticipated New Album Available For Pre-Order; Release Date March 24th For fans of all things doom, atmospheric, dark and gothic

After two monstrously epic and emotionally wrenching singles/videos anticipation is high for WOE UNTO ME’s forthcoming album. Titled ‘Along the Meandering Ordeals, Reshape the Pivot of Harmony,’ the album is scheduled for a March 24th release date. The Eastern European band’s third album, and first for M-Theory Audio, will be made available on Digipak CD with 16-page booklet, as well as a limited gatefold jacket double LP pressing including bonus tracks (covers of Meshuggah and Klone) pressed either on green/blue swirl (250 copies) or the band/label exclusive black variant (100 copies). Available for Pre-Order now at lnk.to/woeuntome or Digital Pre-Save https://lnk.to/woepresave

“The plot of the entire album is based on the internal psychological conflict of a human-being. This conflict has been repeatedly raised in the works of the eminent philosophers and psychologists. Sigmund Freud and Erich Fromm described it quite clearly in their works,” explains guitarist Artyom Serdyuk. “We took the main idea of the conflict and placed the main character in it in order to lead him along the path of internal transformation. We decided to test his moral and ethical values along the way. We tried to analyze how he could behave in certain situations and tried to answer a simple question: "What makes us human?" The protagonist collects himself piece by piece as he progresses through the entire album. He is thrown into extremes from song to song. He explores asceticism, the nature of human destructiveness, nihilism, his own powerlessness in front of a constantly changing world, in order to accept himself at the end of the path. Finally, he becomes a person who can act thoughtfully. We decided to sacrifice him for a common to all mankind goal. Conceptually, we have not departed from the classic themes revealed in the doom metal genre. However, despite the gloomy and heavy message, we left a hope of the necessity and expediency of the chosen path of the protagonist in each song. We tried to investigate how a human is brought up.”

The album, recorded, mixed and mastered at Monroe Sound Studio and produced by Arkadiusz “Aro” Jablonski and band members Artyom Serdyuk and Igor Kovalyov, sounds massive highlighting the group’s mournful melodies and fine mix of potent doom and mesmerizing gothic influences creating a mix reminiscent of the best works of Paradise Lost, Anathema, Tiamat, My Dying Bride and Katatonia but with its own unique twist and identity.

“Musically the new record is the continuation of our movement into more progressive realms of doom metal. This is not a typical funeral doom or death-doom, but it contains the elements of all kinds of doom metal sub-genres,” states Artyom. “I think this album is going to be the most atmospheric, eclectic and mature in our discography so far. It’s quite complex musically and lyrically but at the same time I think it will be easier in terms of perception and more interesting even for the listeners that are not the fans of a classical doom metal. In terms of lyrics on this album we decided to move away from the typical plots for this kind of music and refused to just describe depressive or destructive conditions of a human being. We focused on the investigation of the nature of these feelings and tried to analyze them from the philosophical point of view.”

“The title of the album ‘Along the Meandering Ordeals, Reshape the Pivot of Harmony’ reflects the whole path of our main character, all the obstacles he needs to overcome to try to change this endless cycle of transformation. Capital letters of the main words in the album title form a word MORPH which also emphasizes the whole sequence of transformations,” further explains Artyom. “The names of the songs with the selection of certain letters in them, also form a word MORPH; you will see it in our artwork if you will explore it in its entirety.”

“By the way the whole artwork as always was created by our good friend and an amazing artist Lenore (aniartworks.org). We tried to depict the process of inner metamorphosis in an allegorical way, using dark phantasmagoric imagery and showing each state of our protagonist as a life stage of a certain being: egg, larva, pupa, imago and the new fictional final stage where our character merges into the world that surrounds him and becomes a part of something bigger. The pivot of harmony is reshaped but is it reshaped in a way he wanted to? His body and limbs are corrupted changing into vast forest, trees, branches, soil. The environment devours him but his facial features are still visible behind this monstrous creation. He still thinks, he is still dreaming and analyzing and he is going to start the whole process all over again.”

WOE UNTO ME is no stranger to some as the group formed in 2008 by guitarists Artyom Serdyuk (also of Deathbringer) and Dzmitry Shchyhlinski and appeared on the scene with their 2014 debut album, A Step Into The Waters Of Forgetfulness,’ on Solitude Productions and its 2017 follow-up, ‘Among The Lightened Skies the Voidness Flashed.’ Both equally revered by underground and European press and cementing their name as a band to watch for fans of all things doom. For several years supporting these albums WOE UNTO ME performed all over Eastern Europe on tours and festivals in Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania. Ukraine, Poland, Finland and Russia, sharing stages with Shape of Despair, Saturnus, Ereb Altor, Hate, Arkona, Mors Principium Est, Swallow The Sun, Ophis and more. Now signed to M-Theory Audio it’s time to expand their depression and mournfulness across Western Europe and North America with ‘Along the Meandering Ordeals, Reshape the Pivot of Harmony,’ internationally March 24th.

NEW RECORD IS THE FOURTH VOLUME IN BROUSSARD’S INDEPENDENT PHILANTHROPIC ALBUM SERIES TO BE RELEASED ON BONAMASSA’S KEEPING THE BLUES ALIVE RECORDS

January 11, 2023 – Long hailed as a powerhouse vocalist and king of Bayou Soul, Marc Broussard is altering his iconic recipe of classic soul, R&B, & blues with the help of renowned blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, on his new single, "That's What Love Will Make You Do," a riveting take of the Little Milton classic.  Broussard’s dynamic, soulful vocals, combined with Bonamassa's unmatched fretwork, deliver a knockout fusion of retro soul & modern blues. ”What Love Will Make You Do" is out today and is the first offering from Broussard's forthcoming album S.O.S. 4: Blues For Your Soul, a stunning collection of blues and soul classics plus one original song produced by Joe Bonamassa, who contributes mesmerizing guitar solos on four tracks, alongside longtime collaborator Josh Smith.  S.O.S 4: Blues for Your Soul is the latest entry in Broussard's ongoing philanthropic album series available on March 3 via Bonamassa's own Keeping the Blues Alive Records.  Pre-order the album HERE.

“Tackling Little Milton was a daunting task,” Broussard admits. “He had an epic voice that was intimidating to attempt. I only hope I did him justice. I didn’t want to overdo it, but we wanted to put our stamp where it needed to be. I’m so glad we did.”

“That’s What Love Will Make You Do” keenly exemplifies the roots music fireworks that the burning teamwork of Broussard-Bonamassa creates on S.O.S. 4: Blues for Your Soul which quite possibly is Broussard’s best album to date. Each of the twelve tracks speak to the deepest part of the soul, whether it's Son House's "Empire State Express," Johnny "Guitar" Watson's "Cuttin’ In," Bobby Blue Bland’s “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination” to Howlin’ Wolf’s “I Asked for Water” and the sole Broussard original, co-written with Josh Smith and Calvin Turner, “When Will I Let Her Go.” S.O.S. 4: Blues for Your Soul is a remarkable achievement and provides a captivating showcase for Broussard’s muscular and passionate singing.

For Marc Broussard, this album is another soul-stirring adventure into the music he's always admired. "Blues is something in my wheelhouse," he says, "But it's not really my field of expertise." But when he decided blues would make up a big part of the new addition to the S.O.S. series, he knew whom to ask for assistance: Joe Bonamassa. "I couldn't think of a better person than him. I reached out directly to Joe, and he jumped at it. It was just that easy. It's a real complementary relationship, that's for sure," he says. "We got into the studio, and it worked immediately."

Produced by Bonamassa and Josh Smith, Marc Broussard has achieved something that has all the elements of a classic album, one that arrives with a knockout punch and will likely grow even more luminous over the years. With special guests like Bonamassa, Smith, Roddie Romero, Bobby Junior, JJ Grey, Eric Krasno, and old pal Calvin Turner, it is a real-life gathering of an esteemed musical tribe. Created with an idea for raising funds to help our country’s underprivileged youth, S.0.S. 4: Blues for Your Soul delivers great music for a great cause.  Thanks to the generosity of Marc Broussard, a significant portion of proceeds from this Save Our Soul Album will be donated to Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation for the purpose of supporting youth rehabilitation through music! This includes a partnership with Guitars Over Guns, a Miami-based nonprofit which offers students from the most vulnerable communities a powerful combination of music education and mentorship.

“The deep, mutual concern and compassion for providing healing and growth opportunities for young adults through music is what connects all of us in this endeavor. Thanks to Marc, many students in Miami-Dade County will receive mentorship, recording time, and resources that they likely wouldn’t have access to in another capacity. We are so excited to be a vessel for this initiative and we’re fortunate to have an opportunity to work with Marc and Guitars Over Guns whose impact is already being noticed, rewarded, and replicated across the country.” – Shawn Gonzalez, KTBA Foundation President.

"I'm really proud of all the S.O.S albums," Broussard states. "But this one, in particular, seems really fantastic because we have some extra strength with my pal Joe Bonamassa. His stepping in by producing, playing on the record plus releasing it on his label is truly a gift. And Joe completely understood the charitable aspect of the album."

With help from so many talented friends, this is blues that arrives right on time and is guaranteed to take the soul on a new excursion. "This album seems like the culmination of a process that started when I went independent,” says Broussard. "It's based on believing in myself and the music my fellow musicians, and I make. I couldn't be more excited."

S.O.S 4: Blues For Your Soul also spotlights Broussard’s long-running involvement in charitable endeavors. S.O.S. (Save Our Soul) is his ongoing series of benefit albums that support a different cause for each album. Broussard explains. "I started doing cover records after I was released from my very first contract with a major label. I finally went independent and decided to record albums to raise funds for charity. The first of those projects was to raise money for a homeless women's and children's shelter. Second, we did an album to raise funds for a children’s hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.”

With the new single and album, 2023 is primed to be an extraordinary year for Marc Broussard. He just kicked off a jammed packed run of tour dates which includes a string of shows in Florida, plus cities including Baton Rouge, Memphis, Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, Washington, DC, New York City and Cincinnati, OH.  The list of tour dates is below with more to be announced.  Visit

About Marc Broussard

Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock, and soul into contemporary terms.  The son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist Ted Broussard of "The Boogie Kings," he nurtured his musical gifts at an early age in the vibrant Lafayette, Louisiana music scene.  After releasing a highly successful independent EP at age 20, Broussard made his major-label debut with Carencro.  The album featured the breakout hit "Home" and catapulted him into the national spotlight.  That album and the others that followed revealed Broussard as a southern soul singer with both a rarefied talent and an innate stylistic and emotional authenticity that have made him one of the most indelible artists of his generation.  NPR cited, "His music radiates soulful Louisiana blues, but his songs blend those influences with raucous rock 'n' roll to create unique and infectious music." Washington Times noted, "Few modern voices are as powerful as Marc Broussard's soulful, Bayou-bred baritone."

Broussard released multiple albums with major labels over the last ten years before returning to his independent roots with several acclaimed original recordings and charitable cover albums via his S.O.S. Foundation (Save our Soul).

Marc Broussard's philanthropic efforts extend well over a decade, beginning with his self-released album Bootleg to Benefit the Victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and his efforts to organize the Momentary Setback Fund to provide financial assistance to those displaced by both Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.  In 2015, to further his commitment to tying music to a mission, he established the S.O.S. Foundation as a conduit to raise money for worthy causes, including the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, the City of Refuge in Atlanta, and Our Lady of the Lake Children's hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.

S.O.S. 4: Blues for Your Soul is a follow-up to 2019's A Lullaby Collection SOS III, a series of standards geared towards a younger audience with the accompanying book, I Love You For You, marking Broussard's debut as an author.

TV performances include The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS Saturday Morning, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival/AXS-TV, and many more.  In 2019, his performance on the PBS TV Series The Kate received an Emmy nomination.  Broussard's songs have been placed in numerous films and T.V. shows, including American Idol, The Voice, Dancing with the Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance, to name a few.  Additionally, he has been a featured performer on numerous recordings, including the Grammy-nominated "I Wanna Sing Right: Rediscovering Lomax in the Evangeline Country."

Progressive Power Metal Act MEDEVIL Announces New Album In Tribute To Fallen Member “Mirror in the Darkness” Out April 2023

Canada’s Medevil is gearing up to release their second album “Mirror in the Darkness” in April and the 2015 Wacken Battle Canada national finalist couldn’t be more pleased to show off their updated sound. This album is also bittersweet as it is dedicated to drummer Chris Malcolmson who, since recording, has passed away.

According to the band, this album is a big step up from their previous album, with a more progressive and ambitious direction than before. Overall, the songs have much more variety and a lot more to offer, which should accommodate a wider array of musical tastes from metal fans or fans of music in general. Confident that fans of the first album will enjoy this one, they share their excitement:

“We can’t believe we made it to the finish line, what felt like forever since our debut! “Mirror in the Darkness” for us has been a long time coming, honestly mostly due to our ambitions being much higher this time around. Our goal was to create something better on all fronts compared to the last album, and we really feel like we succeeded. There’s much more to offer here in terms of styles, musicality, and maturity. There are a couple songs here as well that we took a stab at creating something more accessible, which fans of us as well as fans of non-metal music could all enjoy. Despite that, the album as a whole is fittingly a lot darker than “Conductor of Storms” in both lyrics and soundscape.”

“Mirror in the Darkness” is Medevil’s boldest step into different musical stylings than ever before. It is a very dark-sounding album mood-wise and can be described as ‘progressive power metal’ in most areas. It has a lot more inspiration pulled from progressive bands, a lot more focus, and the soundscapes have a lot more depth than they’ve had in the past.

Recommended for fans of Metallica, Mastodon, and Metal Church, “Mirror in the Darkness” comes out on April 7, 2023.

About: Medevil is a highly energetic, fast-paced metal band known for its tight songwriting, intense stage presence, and roaring vocals. They are one of the few metal bands coming out of Chilliwack BC and hold that title proud as they have earned much praise and respect since their inception in 2014. As one of the 6 national finalists of the 2015 Wacken Metal Battle Canada, they are becoming more and more renowned throughout the country; their fame attaining them a following in their local town and across through to Vancouver.

Their music could be described as “power thrash” with half of their set being chorus-driven, and the other half focusing on blistering fast riffs. Influences for the band include Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and Metal Church. Their fast but catchy songs keep the crowd chanting throughout the set, and leave them wanting more. Liam Collingwood, the band’s singer, keeps the band image in theme with the songs while on stage and will wear thematic outfits when the mood demands it.

The band was founded on January 13, 2014, by Eric Wesa (bass), as well as brothers Liam (vocals) and Ross Collingwood (drums). It only took two months after the band’s inception before the boys found the ultimate guitar duo they were looking for, Gary Cordsen and Brett Gibbs. Once the lineup was solidified, they wasted no time performing shows and begin their musical journey. As a band, Medevil has two common goals; to explore their musical talents, and continue performing live for their fast-growing fanbase.
